I urge you to explore the EDIUS windows by right clicking on every icon, menu, tiny triangle and space, as there is a world of "right click" in EDIUS that doesn't always have shortcuts or that are explained in the HELP or documentation. If you have a multiple card reader, the spanned clips show up in your bin as already "Set as sequence" as above. This actually means combining the clip during copying. However, if you are ingesting clips one card at a time, P2 viewer will ask to combine clips with a dialog saying "overwrite clip?".

P2 viewer, the stand alone software from Panasonic, WILL combine spanned clips. P2 select will not combine the spanned clips automatically. This gives you both all of your clips (in your original folder in the bin) and one long clip to scroll through. Once again Cntrl-A all your clips in the new bin, right click one of the highlighted selected clips, the drop down menu with "Set as sequence" will then able to selected. I rename my clip folders (F2) and if I want to see the whole "shoot" as one long shot, I Cntrl-A (select all), make a new folder (right click the "root" folder on the folder side of the bin), then Cntrl-V (paste) in the new folder. How's that for menu mining! Cntrl G toggles the overlay on and off your monitor. To see the original time code, go to Menu bar>Settings>Application Settings.>Customize (on the left - check the "+")>Overlay>Normal Edit>Show source information. This will make all the clips you selected into one long clip. You should be able to select "Set as sequence". Right click on one of the selected clips and you will see a different drop down menu (these are 2 types of right clicks in the bin window as the placement of the tip of your cursor is VERY CONTEXTUAL).

(I sort by time code - right click in your bin, NOT on clip, >sort>time code),Ĭontrol-click each one you want to combine.
